Who we are
Golden Hands is a massage studio operating at 7g Nikoloz Kipshidze Street, Vake, Tbilisi, Georgia. We have been working at this location since 2011.
Trading name: Golden Hands. Registered legal name: Golden Hands LLC.
Telephone: +995 599 23 18 33. We are open every day from 09:00 to 21:00. In these terms, Golden Hands is referred to as we, us or the studio, and you as the guest or the client.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to every session, package and gift certificate provided by the studio, and to the use of our website and our online booking system.
By booking a session, buying a gift certificate or attending an appointment, you accept these terms. If you book on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have their agreement to do so and that you have passed these terms on to them.
These terms do not limit the rights given to you by the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights or by any other mandatory provision of Georgian law. Where a term in this document conflicts with a right you hold by law, the law prevails.
Our services
We provide massage and related manual treatments performed by trained specialists. Our treatments are intended for relaxation, comfort and general wellbeing.
Our services are not medical treatment. We do not diagnose conditions, we do not prescribe, and we do not replace care from a doctor or a physiotherapist. If you have a medical condition, please consult your doctor before booking.
The specialist may adjust the technique, the sequence and the areas worked on during your session, based on the consultation and on how your body responds. The treatment time stated for each service includes the consultation and the time needed to prepare and dress.
Prices and payment
Current prices are shown on our website and in the studio. Prices are in Georgian Lari and include all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Some treatments are priced in ranges because the price depends on a stated factor, for example the materials used or the duration. Where that applies, the factor is named beside the price and confirmed with you before the session begins.
Payment is due at the end of your session unless agreed otherwise. We accept the payment methods displayed at reception.
We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects a session already booked at a confirmed price, or a valid gift certificate already purchased.
Booking and confirmation
You can book by telephone, by WhatsApp, through our online booking system or in person at the studio.
A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it to you. An online request that has not been confirmed is not a reservation.
Please arrive a few minutes early so that the consultation can take place without shortening your treatment. Tell us at the time of booking if you have a preference of specialist, a preference of pressure, or any requirement we should prepare for.
Changing or cancelling an appointment
Plans change and we would always rather move your session than lose it. Please tell us as soon as you know.
We ask for at least four hours notice to change or cancel an appointment. This lets us offer the time to another guest and lets your specialist plan their day.
- Cancelled or changed with at least four hours notice: no charge.
- Cancelled with less than four hours notice: we may ask for up to 50 percent of the price of the booked session.
- Not attended without notice, described below as a no-show: we may ask for the full price of the booked session.
- Repeated no-shows: we may ask for payment in advance for future bookings.
If you arrive late
If you arrive late, we will give you as much of your treatment as the remaining time allows, so that the guest booked after you is not kept waiting. The full price of the booked session applies.
If you arrive more than twenty minutes late, we may not be able to deliver the session at all, and it may be treated as a no-show under section 6.
Gift certificates
Gift certificates can be bought for a specific treatment or for a monetary value. They can be used by the person named on them or by the bearer, as agreed at purchase.
A gift certificate is valid for six months from the date of purchase unless a different period is printed on it. It can be used across more than one visit if it holds a monetary value.
Gift certificates cannot be exchanged for cash and are not reloadable. If a treatment costs more than the value of the certificate, the difference is paid at the studio. We cannot replace a lost or stolen certificate unless it can be identified in our records.
The cancellation terms in section 6 apply to appointments booked with a gift certificate.
Packages of sessions
Packages of five or ten sessions are sold at a discount to the single session price, as shown on our website.
A package is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. Sessions within a package are personal to the buyer unless we agree otherwise in advance, and they cannot be exchanged for cash.
If you end a package early, we may calculate the refund by charging the sessions you have already used at the full single session price and returning the balance. This does not affect any stronger right you hold under Georgian consumer law.
Your health and what we need to know
Before your first session we will ask about your health, and before every session we will ask whether anything has changed. Please answer accurately. What you tell us determines which techniques are safe for you.
Tell us in particular about pregnancy, recent surgery, injuries, fractures, skin conditions, infections, fever, blood clots or a history of them, heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, cancer treatment, allergies including to oils and honey, and any medication that affects bleeding, sensation or blood pressure.
We may decline or adapt a treatment where we believe it is not safe or appropriate for you. If we decline on health grounds we will explain why, and you will not be charged.
If you feel unwell before your appointment, or you have an infectious illness, please reschedule. We will move your session without charge.
Consent, pressure and stopping a session
Your treatment happens with your agreement, and that agreement can be withdrawn at any moment.
We agree the pressure with you before the session, and we check during it. Tell your specialist immediately if anything is uncomfortable or painful. Adjusting is normal and expected, and asking costs you nothing.
You may ask for a session to stop at any point, for any reason, and you do not have to explain. If you stop a session part way through, we charge for the time delivered.
You may ask that specific areas are not worked on. You remain covered by a sheet or towel throughout, except for the area being treated, and you undress only to the extent you are comfortable with.
Professional conduct and boundaries
Golden Hands provides professional, non-sexual massage. Any request, suggestion or behaviour of a sexual nature will end the session immediately, the full price will be charged, and we will decline future bookings.
We ask all guests to treat our specialists and administrators with respect. We may end a session and decline future bookings in cases of aggression, harassment, discrimination, or attendance under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Our specialists hold the same right to end a session that you do, if continuing would be unsafe or inappropriate.
Guests under eighteen
Guests under the age of eighteen are treated only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and a parent or guardian must remain present in the room throughout the session.
Manual therapy for children is offered as a distinct service. Please tell us the child's age when booking so that the right specialist and the right duration are arranged.
Pregnancy
Please tell us if you are pregnant, including in the first weeks. Some techniques, positions and materials are not suitable during pregnancy, and knowing lets us choose safely.
We may ask you to confirm that your doctor has no objection before we proceed.
Personal belongings
Please keep valuables with you or leave them at home. The studio is not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises, except where the loss is caused by our own fault.
Items left behind are kept for thirty days, after which we may dispose of them.
Personal data
We collect only the data we need in order to serve you: your name, your contact details, your booking history and the health information you give us for safety.
Health information is treated as sensitive. It is seen only by the specialist treating you and by the administrator arranging your booking, and it is used for no other purpose.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. We share it with third parties only where necessary to operate, for example with the provider of our booking system, or where the law requires it.
You may ask us at any time what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to receive messages from us. Write to us or call and we will act on your request.
Our online booking is operated through a third party booking platform, which processes your booking data under its own terms.
Photography and reviews
We photograph the studio and our work for our website and our social media. We never photograph a guest or use a guest's image without that guest's explicit permission, given at the time.
If you leave us a public review, it belongs to you. We may quote a published review and its author's public name on our website, since it is already public. Tell us if you would prefer that we stop quoting yours, and we will remove it.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for delivering the service you booked with reasonable skill and care, by trained specialists, in clean and safe conditions.
Massage can leave temporary tenderness, warmth or light bruising, particularly with deeper or cupping techniques. This is a normal response and is not a fault in the service.
We are not liable for harm arising from information you did not give us, or gave us inaccurately, about your health. We are not liable for outcomes outside our control, and we make no promise of a specific medical or aesthetic result.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where such an exclusion is prohibited by Georgian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our fault.
Online purchases and the right to withdraw
Where you buy a gift certificate or a package from us at a distance, for example online or by telephone, the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights gives you a period of fourteen days in which you may withdraw from the contract.
To withdraw, tell us within that period by telephone, WhatsApp or in writing. We will refund you using the same method of payment you used.
Please note the statutory exception for services: where you asked us to begin the service within the withdrawal period and the service has been fully delivered, the right to withdraw no longer applies to that delivered service. Sessions already taken from a package are treated this way.
This section describes your statutory right. It does not replace it, and where the two differ the law applies.
If something goes wrong
Tell us. Most concerns are best resolved on the day, while your specialist and administrator are present and the details are fresh.
If you would rather raise it afterwards, call us or write to us. We will acknowledge your complaint and give you a considered answer.
If we cannot resolve it together, you may refer the matter to the competent authority in Georgia responsible for consumer rights, or to a Georgian court, as described in section 21.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Disputes that we cannot settle between us fall to the competent courts of Georgia.
You may also raise a consumer complaint with the competent Georgian authority for the protection of consumer rights.
These terms are published in English, Russian and Georgian. The Georgian version is the authoritative text. If a translation differs from it, the Georgian version applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when our services or the law change. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
The terms that apply to your session are the terms published when you booked it.
Questions about these terms
Speak to us directly. Our administrators answer in English, Russian and Georgian, and we would rather explain a term before your visit than have you wonder about it afterwards.
